Choosing a service
Start with what you need the inspection to tell you.
- Buying a conventional home in reasonable condition. Our Level 2 Home Survey is usually enough.
- Buying an older, larger, altered or unusual home, or one that needs work. Choose our Level 3 Building Survey, which includes a drone roof inspection where flight is permitted.
- Buying a newly built home. A snagging inspection lists defects and unfinished work for the developer to put right.
- One structural concern, such as a crack or a removed chimney breast. Book a specific structural inspection. For the structure of the whole building, choose a general structural inspection.
- Damp, mould, rot or woodworm, or a lender asking for a timber and damp report. Book a damp and timber survey.
- Starting a lease, or building work about to start next door. A schedule of condition records the condition of the property with dated photographs.
- Only the roof, chimneys and gutters. A drone roof inspection gives you close-up, annotated images, where flight is permitted.
If you are deciding between Level 2 and Level 3, our guide Level 2 or Level 3? works through the questions that matter. If you are still unsure, call us on 07572 190983 or email info@dbiss.uk.
