Who we are
Drone Building Inspection and Surveying Services Ltd, trading as DBISS, was set up in 2021 to offer clear, practical surveys to home buyers, owners, landlords and businesses. Since 2022 we have carried out more than 1,100 surveys across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and north-west London.
Andrew Parker is an Associate member of RICS (AssocRICS) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB). He carries out the inspections himself, so the person who looked at the property is the person who writes your report and talks it through with you afterwards.
Regulated by RICS
Drone Building Inspection and Surveying Services Ltd is regulated by RICS for the provision of surveying services (firm registration no. 871137). This means we agree to uphold the RICS Rules of Conduct and all other applicable mandatory professional practice requirements of RICS, which can be found at www.rics.org. Insurance
We hold professional indemnity insurance that meets RICS requirements, covering our work in the United Kingdom. We give you the name and address of our insurer in our terms of engagement, before you instruct us.
Our drone work
We are registered with the Civil Aviation Authority as a drone operator, and flights are carried out by a pilot who holds a CAA Flyer ID. Before each flight we check the location against airport Flight Restriction Zones, prisons and other restricted airspace, and we check the weather on the day. We fly only where the rules and conditions allow. Drone work is covered by our aviation insurance.
How we work
- Independent advice. We act only for our client. We do not sell repairs or treatments and we have no ties to contractors.
- No valuations. We do not provide valuations or reinstatement cost assessments.
- Plain English reports that follow the RICS Home Survey Standard for Level 2 and Level 3 surveys.
- Responsible use of technology. We use drones, moisture meters and, for drafting, AI tools under Andrew's control. Read our AI statement.
- Complaints handled properly, with independent redress through CEDR. See our complaints procedure.
